How expense tracking works
Attach or enter manually
Enter expense details manually and optionally attach a receipt. If you explicitly request AI receipt reading, DuetNest prepares editable draft fields that you review before saving.
Choose how to split
Default to 50/50, set a custom percentage, or assign 100% to one parent. Per-expense overrides are easy.
Co-parent reviews
The expense appears in the family space with a review status. Participants can comment or flag missing information for clarification.
Settle when ready
The running balance shows the recorded amount between parents. Add a settlement payment and the balance updates by that amount.
